TUITION FOR KROKA SUMMER PROGRAMS

As you know, we live in a time of growing cultural and economic diversity: within our own Marlow neighborhood are beautifully landscaped sprawling lakefront summer homes as well tiny cabins and trailers surrounded by the carefully measured stacks of firewood that will be the sole source of heat for the winter. Children from each of these homes need to spend time at Kroka, and we will welcome them. This is only possible if every family works with us to ask for what they need while stretching to pay what they can afford. We realize that even this expanded plan may not take into account families with multiple children, urban areas with a high cost of living, and other personal situations. For that reason we will continue to offer discounted pricing to local families and an ongoing scholarship program which offers personalized pricing and payment plans to meet each family’s needs. Please don’t hesitate to call us with your questions: 603-835-9087.

Scholarships & Financial Aid

Kroka’s scholarship fund is made available by the generous support of our community. Scholarships are available for families for whom the sliding scale discount is not adequate. Families requesting additional financial aid are asked to complete a Scholarship Application. Applications are reviewed by our Scholarship Committee and awards are offered on a rolling basis.

Kroka “Local” Tuition Discounts

In order to ensure that any local child who wants to attend a Kroka program can do so, we have established a local discount for residents of Marlow, Gilsum, Alstead, Ackworth, Lempster, Washington, Langdon, and Stoddard. Tuition for local students is as follows:

1-Week Programs – $300

2-Week Programs – $600

3-Week Programs – $900

While we do not ask for verification of income, we expect that families that are able to pay higher tuition will do so in order to make the off-set the local discount for families who wouldn’t otherwise be able to attend.

Full-Tuition Diversity Scholarships

Through the generosity of our community, we offer a limited number of full-tuition scholarships to summer programs to help us reach our goals for diversity, equity, and inclusion. If you know of a student who should be a recipient of one of these scholarships, please emailĀ summer@kroka.org

Barters and Non-Monetary Payments

Kroka welcomes payments in the form of goods and services that we would otherwise be purchasing outside of our community! In many cases we are able to arrange a barter relationship to supplement or substitute tuition payments. Examples of previous barter arrangements: maple syrup, produce/meat, IT services, graphic design and marketing services, sewing/equipment repair. If you are interested in arranging a barter, please email business.manager@kroka.org.
