Marlow, NHThe Wilderness First Responder program is the ideal medical training for leaders in remote areas including outdoor educators, guides, military, professional search and rescue teams, researchers, and those involved in disaster relief. The curriculum is comprehensive and practical. It includes the essential principles and skills required to assess and manage medical problems in isolated and extreme environments for days and weeks if necessary.
The course is held at Kroka Expeditions' basecamp in Marlow, NH. Founded in 1996, Kroka is a non-profit wilderness expedition school for young people. Our teach adventure sports for remote wilderness expeditions and foster a connection to the natural world. Room and board are provided. Course participants will stay in a variety of handmade dwellings including earthen lodges, wall tents, and small yurts. Kroka Village is a working farm and much of the food we eat is produced here using organic and biodynamic methods.
