| A Work In Progress
While we are nearly moved in, we still have a few things to finish
before the return of the Vermont-Ecuador Semester December 10th:
- Hot Water System: We are working on a sustainable energy
hot water system for the farmhouse. We purchased a cook
wood stove with a hot water jacket. We will be installing a
special water tank above the stove in the attic and solar water
collectors on top of the barn roof. In the winter hot water will
be heated while we cook our meals and warm the house, and
in the summer it will come from the sun.
- An access road and parking for Kroka equipment. We hope
to complete this work in late November.

its new home
Work To Be Completed In The Spring
When the snow melts in the spring, there will be a few more
projects to be completed:
- Our Cree Lodge - Almost done and will be finished in the
spring
- Digging a shallow water well: We have dowsed for the location
of a well with the help of a local dowser. It was so much
fun using an apple branch to follow the water vein!
- Design and construct the bathroom building and waste water
disposal system
- Make an outdoor kitchen
- Set up teepees and wall tents

the drainage
- To replace windows and siding and insulate the farmhouse.
- To design and build an outdoor kitchen
- To build a carriage house for Kroka’s vehicles and boats
