- Two lap top computers for Semester Program field lab
- Power point projector (Donated 9/07, thank you Del Rio family!)
- Four portable industrial sewing machines
Projects at Kroka new home (in order of priority)
- Bathrooms – composting system, gray water system for camp ($12,000)
- Water well for camp ($5,000)
- Rebuilding farm house foundation ($50,000)
- Sustainable energy project, including heating, hot water and electrical
system with the following components:
- Wood furnace for the Farm House ($ unknown)
- Two Solar Water Collectors for the hot water system ($1000)
- Airtight cook wood stove for Farm House kitchen ($4,190)
- Wind power turbine ($unknown)
- Solar panels and equipment for solar-grid system ($10,000)
- Construction of a carriage house for vehicle, trailer and boat storage
($20,000)
- Insulation, siding and new windows for the farm house ($10,000 per
side, one side per year, total $40,000 over the four years)
- Construction of an outdoor camp kitchen, dining room ($6,000)
UPDATES (06/2008)
- Four portable industrial sewing machines were purchased at discounted
price from Sail Rite with donation from Mark McGovern.
- One laptop coomputer donated by Irina Golfman and Bruce Rosenblum.
- Composting camp toilet designed and built by Hans VanRiel, Ken Gagnon,
Abe Noe-Hays and Kroka Community. Donations helped pay for materials.
- Water well for camp constructed by Livengood Earthworks.
- Solar hot water system donated by Jim and Ingrid Miller. Includes
panels, hot water heater and air tight cook stove for farm house.
