Rochelle!
Rochelle Garfinkel has been our Director of Operations for two years. Kroka Expeditions has grown, doubling its operating budget, thanks to her hard work and incredible organizational skills. Rochelle took over the day-to-day operations of the school allowing Misha to focus more on long term vision (semester program, etc.) and Lynne to focus on raising a family. Rochelle created many important systems in the office, food and logistics departments, saving huge amounts of time, energy and resources. She taught us about technology, making our work in the office much more efficient. And she was there for Kroka families, students and faculty. While we will miss Rochelle’s warm and caring presence, we are also excited for her to pursue her personal destiny. Rochelle has begun graduate study in Library Science at Simmons College. While Rochelle will leave the office she will remain on the Board of Directors and assist in Kroka’s continued development. Rochelle will remain in her job until winter holidays. Annie Guion is currently filling the Director of Operations position.
