First Kroka CD is Available

Itıs a little rough around the edges, but, like all things done with dedication and love, it is also a thing of great beauty. It would be hard to capture the joy and enthusiasm I felt on the mornings I headed up the stairs to the office and heard the beautiful voices of Kroka women blending in rounds and melding in harmony. Also captured on the CD are the occasional background noises, especially baby Mathias cooing and fussing, along with various knocks, pops and thumps - very "homegrown" Kroka production!

The purpose of the CD is to provide a learning tool for use within the extended Kroka community such that people can learn our favorite songs before coming to camp. We included many of the rounds and familiar tunes that are sung at mealtimes, while on the road or river, used to open group meetings and whenever the spirit moves us! Our fearless project coordinator was the talented songster Carol Raynsford. Carol donated countless hours ad her recording equipment. She is also the editor of the Kroka community songbook, which captures the songs in written form.

If you'd like your very own copy of the CD and songbook, send your address and a check for $15, made out to Kroka, and we will get one in the mail to you. Or order just the CD for $10, the songbook for $5.
